Easy is without a doubt one of the best books I've read this year. I loved it. Every single word. In fact, I read it in one sitting, staying up all night to finish. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what came next. When my kids got up for school the next morning, I was still reading, not having slept at all the night before.
The characters Ms. Webber created were real, relatable, and conflicted. The situations they found themselves in were sometimes so emotional I found myself crying at one point. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotion.
I fell in love with Lucas. How could I not? He's not only sexy as hell, but a tortured soul who carries a huge burden for something he can't be blamed or faulted for. He's fierce when it comes to protecting Jacqueline, but guarded in his relationship with her. His story is heartbreaking. I'm a sucker for the tortured hero.
Jacqueline was just as real to me as someone sitting in my living room. She had hang-ups and issues that were real, gritty and made me love and root for her. The supporting characters were developed just as well.
Easy is a book I highly recommend. And don't get hung up on the title, you won't understand it right away but it's a swoon worthy moment when you realize what it means.
This is one of those stories that stays with you long after you finish it. I'll miss Lucas and Jacqueline.
Read it. If you love contemporary romance, you'll love this book. And I think it covers a topic every teenaged (and older) girl should be aware of.
I give it five huge stars.
